Scotch 23 electrical tape is a highly conformable 0.76mm thick, self amalgamating EPR (Ethylene Propylene Rubber) based high voltage jointing tape. 23 tape can be used as insulation for low voltage applications as well as insulation for joints up to 69kV.
It is non-vulcanising and shelf-stable with excellent electrical properties.
Can be stretched up to 100% to give void-free, moisture-resistant insulation.
Primary insulation for building stress cones on cables up to 35kV.
Primary electrical insulation for cable jointing and terminating up to 69kV with up to 90°C continuous operating temperatures and 130°C emergency overload temperature.
